Project:

I have implemented Windows Active Directory for multiple clients either as part of a migration, server consolidation or new server implementation. Including small business, standard, enterprise, roaming profiles, group policies, importing user accounts via batch scripting and migrating accounts through other tools all of which are dependent on the particular situation

I frequently want to transfer the NTFS permissions across the network from one server to another. This generally only happens on the same disk, transfer of the ACL permissions are generally not performed across drives or to a networked share. To enable this I have found the following incredibly useful. [KB310316]
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer Create DWORD ForceCopyAclwithFile = 1
